Tried the southwest sandwich and Reuben. I think it was coleslaw but it was sour and tasted like sauerkraut. My partner had it and thought it was inedible. It sucks because we were really looking forward to it. The tea is pretty good and the customer service.
Edit:
The customer service is phenomenal and is the most important thing to me when I eat out. I really appreciate Amy for offering us a meal so that we could try McAlister's and have a better experience. Their sweet tea and potato salad are consistent. Probably the best in CS. -

This is a great cheap but filling and delicious meal. One thing I love is that the kids meals are just 99 cents. My whole family of 6 can eat here for about 17 dollars! The veggie chili and all the spuds and sandwiches are very very good. McAlisters is known for their famous sweet tea, which is the best stuff ever. They also have seasonal menu items.

I'd never been to a McAlister's in my life, so I stopped in for lunch this week. The parking lot was almost completely full, so I took that as a good sign.
I've come not to expect anything phenomenal from a deli chain - seems like Panera, Newks, Jason's Deli, etc. all have very similar offerings and nothing really stands out. I like the concept here and the food was very good. I had a vegetarian wrap that was brought to me very quickly.
The service was fast and friendly - I told the order-taker it was my first time there, and she gave me a quick rundown of the menu and made a couple of suggestions.
The experience conveyed to me that this McAlister's is well-managed and that staff morale is high. I'll be back! -

Great place. My aunt and uncle had never eaten here. So we tried shortly after 2pm for a late afternoon lunch on a sunday. Everyone enjoyed the half sandwich and soup combo with unsweet tea. Was busy day but they enjoyed the atmosphere and thought the food was great. I had to agree, just as good as the last time I was there 5 years ago.
